Bodies 03:24
I sit here and write these words with purpose just to serve a never ending search. These bodies on the ground lay motionless with unnerving vacancy they scowl; each one a faded remnant of the next. And all these songs have been around too long, I don’t recognise them anymore. So I hold my breath and wait hoping that the stench will fade so I can breath meaning into their lungs, reanimate their souls and revel in the glow of what was once but now is gone. With sudden vengeance their movement tugs on the strings of my heart. An unexpected flood of emotion now breaks apart this tired rib cage. Just that spark to relive memories that fade. Now these broken bones have left shards in my veins and reignite that faded flame. And all these songs have been around too long, I don’t recognise them anymore. Paces 03:07
Hey, listen man. Just take my hand and walk me through the cool evening. I feel your heartbeat next to mine whilst pacing through the night but I can’t shake this feeling that I’ve gone and lost this borrowed thing forever. This faint and quiet lack of light is ushering in this here night and although it’s something that I’ve seen before, you pull it into sight. Just a normal feeling. A memory. A moment’s fleeting peace. This room is forever. Wring me out and hang me out to dry. Let this borrowed feeling fade. Let it drift into the night in hope you’ll guide me back to light and take me back again to where it all began. Just a normal feeling. These two dark bags beneath my eyes, they’re filled with love. Its no surprise that this room is the fuel. This withered face; the badge we’ve earned and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Wring me out and hang me out to dry. Let this borrowed feeling fade. Let it drift into the night in hope you’ll guide me back to light and take me back again to where it all began. Just a normal feeling. Wring me out and hang me out to dry.

Sun hits the steam of the subway vents and casts light on the shadows of the offices and steel. A chill to this air but it meets the ground heat perfectly for us to feel it on our faces. The horizon leads us through these views tonight. And its in our faces that the feeling of these streets are hitting home. There’s no angst in this one. We’re singing for Manhattan streets. They represent our transition in the autumn afternoon sun. We owe everything to Manhattan streets and how we’ve grown from the experience. These hazy UK bloodshot eyes focus for the first time on your face against New York skies. A sharp silhouette. A panoramic muse caught like a dream. The horizon leads us through these views tonight. The horizon leads us through these views tonight. Foresight 03:11
Ever since I found my mind this whole world falls apart before my eyes. Never felt so far from feeling. Feels so good now to be breathing. Inhale. Exhale. I cannot tell you how the whole world feels around me. Am I intoxicated? I feel so separated. Cannot explain just how I’m feeling. We are breathing in just to break out. Seems like everything I see is focusing on me and everything that was out of reach, steps closer in my mind. Now I know we’ll be fine this time. Breathing in, just to break out. Breathing in, just to break out. Seems like everything I see is focusing on me and everything that was out of reach, steps closer in my mind. Now I know we’ll be fine this time.

Grounded 03:04
This pavement cracks beneath my feet. I journey through tired old city streets past trademarks created by me. They drain my memory. On a rare still quiet winter’s day you can hear the chords ring through. They map out your strange ways, identity and place. When I hear those aching sounds painting images of places I have found I can’t help but place my ear to this here ground. Sing at me and sing it loud. Tie my hands behind my back and gag my mouth so my face can feel your words. If I can loose all sense of what is real I’ll consume this concrete until I’m still. This pavement cracks beneath my teeth. I told myself that I’ll never let this sleep. This time its my face and not my feet. I want to see what I have made for myself whilst treading ground, while I was listening and sewing unknown sounds into the earth and all these places I have found. Sing at me and sing it loud. Tie my hands behind my back and gag my mouth so my face can feel your words. If I can loose all sense of what is real I’ll consume this concrete until I’m still. Until I’m still. Head steady. Meet the ground face first. Head steady. Meet the ground face first.

Tired Eyes 03:41
Another 5pm alarm breaks dusk. Her tired eyes haven’t seen the dawn in 7 years. Stale sheets with coffee stains. The dust sent dancing through the room by the sea salt air, illuminated by the sunset on the bay. And she had her chance to leave but she chose to stay. Tidal waves of bad advice. I guess no none told her life goes by so fast. Another 5pm alarm breaks dusk. Another empty bottle hits the ground. Another empty day. And yet her heart just chose to stay And she had her chance to leave but she chose to stay. Tidal waves of bad advice. I guess no none told her life goes by so fast. So willing to remain deceived; she chose this way. Shadows of unrealised life. I guess no none told her life goes by so fast. Take your chances while they last. And she had her chance to leave but she chose to stay. Tidal waves of bad advice. I guess no none told her life goes by so fast. So willing to remain deceived; she chose this way. Shadows of unrealised life. I guess no none told her life goes by so fast. Take your chances while they last.

Summer Song 02:35
I’ve been down that road so many times in my life and almost every time it ends up in a fight. “Nothing ventured, nothing gained” or so they say. I’ll keep searching for perfection day by day. We’ll sing that age old summer song ‘till we convince ourselves that we’re still young. We’ll sing that age old summer song ‘till we convince ourselves that we’re still young. We start to feel the warmth as it bleeds across our backs so we sing with all the breath that we can stand then push it more so we can feel. God knows it wasn’t all for nothing. We’ll sing that age old summer song ‘till we convince ourselves that we’re still young. We’ll sing that age old summer song ‘till we convince ourselves that we’re still young.
